What's new on VendorBox

Job activity is easier to scan

Improvement

The job detail page now presents proposals, client views, interviews, sent invites and unanswered invites as separate responsive cards instead of a cramped line of text. Labels sit above their values, missing views are explained clearly, and the grid keeps its spacing and contrast on light or dark desktop and mobile screens.

Dark mode corrections

Fix

Several panels kept light backgrounds in dark mode, including the hourly contract meter, which rendered as a white block. Those surfaces, their borders and their text now follow the theme, and printed invoices stay light so they do not come out of the printer as a black rectangle.

A collapsible sidebar and calmer scrollbars

Improvement

The dashboard menu now collapses to a slim icon rail, giving the page full width while keeping every menu item reachable — previously collapsing it hid whole groups of links. Scrollbars across the app stay out of the way until you scroll, and wide tables show a soft edge shading so it is obvious when there is more to see.

Redesigned emails

Improvement

Every email VendorBox sends has been rebuilt: the VendorBox logo, a clean layout that fits a phone screen, and clear links to terms, privacy and contact. The previous design was a fixed desktop-width layout carrying an old logo that did not display at all in most inboxes.

Password resets now use a secure link

Fix

Asking for a new password used to change it immediately and email the new one in plain text, which meant anyone who knew an email address could lock that account out of itself. You now receive a link that expires in one hour and works only once, and nothing changes until you open it and choose your own password. The form also no longer reveals whether an address is registered.

Profile pictures appear everywhere

Fix

Members who signed up through Google were shown as a blank placeholder across notifications, search, message threads and profiles, because only uploaded photos were being looked for. Every place that shows a person now falls back to their account photo, so real faces appear consistently.
